Cote d'Azur & French Riviera by Private Jet
It's no surprise that the stunning Cote d'Azur is one of Europe's private jet charter hotspots, particularly in the summer months but also for business travel, events and second-home owners all year round.
The French Riviera area offers a huge number of attractions to the luxury and corporate traveller: Prestigious events; exclusive hotels and residential property; stunning beaches and sailing opportunities; and a timeless VIP appeal unmatched by any other European destination.

Private jet airports in the Cote d'Azur & French Riviera
There are several airport options in the South of France which cater for private jet travellers heading to the Cote d'Azur.
Private jet customers have a choice of airports across the area. Nice Cote d'Azur Airport is the biggest, open 24 hours and accommodates the largest jets and VIP airliners. But there are also a number of smaller airports along the coast.
Cannes Mandelieu Airport is the next busiest after Nice, a dedicated private jet airport popular with those flying into events in Cannes, or as a discreet alternative to Nice for VIPs and high profile figures.
St Tropez La Mole is the closest airport to the popular resort of St Tropez but travellers from the UK or other countries outside the EU Schengen area cannot land there, as it has no passport control. So we recommend Toulon-Hyeres as a nearby alternative.
Riviera Airport is a small private airport just across the border in Italy (also known as Albenga Airport), catering for light jets and turboprops - and can be a useful alternative for travellers to Monaco or destinations close to the border.
See our blog post: Should I land at Nice or Cannes?
Private helicopter transfers are also available for flights between destinations on the French Riviera and between Nice and Cannes Airports and Monaco.
Private jet options to the Cote d'Azur
Private jets of all types and sizes fly in and out of the Cote d'Azur in the summer months. From light jets to large long range jets - popular for their performance and comfort, as well as their range. Many of the flights originate from within Europe, but Nice Cote d'Azur Airport has a long runway, so can accommodate long range jets on longer flights, from other parts of the world.
For private jet flights to the Cote d'Azur from within Europe, light jets such as the Phenom 300 and Pilatus PC-24 - selected aircraft for the PrivateFly Light Jet Card Plus programme - are a comfortable and economic choice for a smaller group.
Those requiring a more spacious private cabin experience may prefer aircraft such as the Citation XLS+ or Citation Latitude, both included in our Super-Midsize Jet Card selection.
Or for a large cabin solution for those flying to the Cote d'Azur by private jet, our Heavy Jet Card selection includes the Challenger 600 and Legacy 600.
As demand for private flights to the South of France is so high in the summer months, we'd recommend booking ahead to secure your choice of aircraft and airport slot.

Event travel by private jet to Monaco & the Cote d'Azur
The Cote d'Azur and Monaco region plays host to a significant number of high profile events throughout the year, including the Cannes Film Festival, Monaco Grand Prix, MIPIM Cannes and the Monaco Yacht Show. These events can create a significant demand spike for private jet flights in and out of the area.
The most seamless way to arrive is via private jet to Nice or Cannes, then avoid the ground traffic with a private helicopter transfer to Monaco or Cannes harbour.
We advise clients looking to fly over these periods to book further ahead, to ensure aircraft availability and your preferred itinerary - as slot availability can be limited for last minute flights.
